ARTIST BIO

Under the pseudonym doodlesandcolors, Nazurah Usop is a Brunei-based visual artist whose style of hard-edged abstracts and organic cultural patterns is best described as an experimental journey into the human mind through the myriads of shapes and colours. While her work has been extensively featured locally, she has represented Bruneian artists in Malaysian and Vietnamese galleries as well.

She takes inspiration from music, buildings, and as an 'artivist', from social issues as well. Moreover, her signature organic patterns don't just simply resonate as 'flora and fauna', but it also symbolises growth.
